I have a very impressive DIY project to share with you all today. This comes from Christene from Keys to Inspiration. She created an amazing wooden “Merry Christmas” sign perfect for holiday season.
Unlike most of the other crafts I post here, I would not say this is for beginners. However, she has detailed pictures and instructions on her blog for you to follow along if you want to give it a try.
See the full tutorial here:
DIY Merry Christmas Wooden Sign
She essentially paints and glues three wooden (MDF) boards together, creates a stencil, and paints the design on the sign.
The finished product is stunning and I would love to be able to try something like this myself. I like the other design she posted on her blog as well.
She created the stencil using stencil vinyl paper, and a template which she provides for free. She cut the stencil out using her Cricut machine.
On a personal note, I have actually just recently ordered the Cricut Explore Air 2. I am amazed at the projects, such as this one, that I see created with this machine.
I am so excited to use mine and think I might even attempt her tutorial myself. I hope you liked this sign as much as I did and maybe those of you who are avid crafters can try it out.
